Echopsia is a VR exhibition in which the player controls the story with a fretless bass. The game
was developed solely for the showcase at Cologne Game Lab on 28.07.2026.

In Echopsia, a seated player holds a real fretless bass in VR. Each note emits a sonar wave,
briefly uncovering ghostly tableaux in an abandoned space station. The performance shapes
what is seen and heard.
It is an associative journey through sound, space and absence rather than a plot to solve.

Echopsia targets players that are interested in art and design. As an interactive exhibition it is
supposed to draw attention, and then draw in individuals to have a short and unique experience.
As an open exhibition piece it targets players from age range 9 to 70.
It motivates players by offering a perceivably “weird” experience – During play, it confronts
players with a unique sensory experience and confrontation with aesthetics.
