Anne Laaredj-Campbell is an instructor for special purposes in English at the Language Learning Center at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. Her teaching subjects include “Language and Culture”, “Sustainability: From Individual to Global”, and “English for Academic and Professional Purposes”. At the Cologne Game Lab, she teaches the following undergraduate courses: “Study and Work Abroad within an Academic Context”, “Once Upon a Time: From Fairy Tales to Video Games”, “Getting Ahead of the Game: Current Debates in the Industry”, “Job Application for Game Developers”, and “Academic Writing: Bachelor Thesis Preparation”. Her teaching and research interests include authentic project-based approaches to language acquisition as well as cultural, gender, and sustainability concepts. Anne holds a BA in German and Basic Design from the University of Oregon as well as an MA and a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg.
