Timo grew up in the South of Germany and discovered his passion for 3D and film as a teenager. His first working experiences were at »Faceshift AG«, a face motion capture company, and later at the TV company »Your Family Entertainment AG«. He finished his Bachelor’s degree in »Media and Information Technology« at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
Ever since he has worked as a 3D Digital Artist at »LAVAlabs Moving Images« in Düsseldorf for Visual Effects, Full CG, and Virtual- & Augmented Reality productions. His special focus is crowd simulations, digital humans, virtual production with Unreal Engine, Texturing with Substance Painter, and 3d character development. The most popular projects in his portfolio are “Kleo”, “Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood” and “7500”.
In 2021 he finished his master’s degree at ifs/ CGL with the topic “Developing Digital Humans – A Workflow for 3D Avatar Design and Analysis of common creation methods”. Besides working at »LAVAlabs Moving Images« he discovered his passion for teaching as a lecturer for “3D Character Production” at »Hochschule Düsseldorf« and „3D Texturing, Shading, Lighting“ at »Cologne Game Lab & ifs«.
