Martin Lorber studied musicology, philosophy, and ethnology at the University of Cologne. Since 2004 he has been working as PR Director and youth protection officer of Electronic Arts. For several years Martin Lorber has been primarily concerned with cultural, social, and political issues related to computer and video games; among other things, he initiated “Clash of Realities. Martin Lorber holds a lectureship for Public Relations at the University of Cologne. In 2009 he was appointed to the Committee for Telecommunications and New Services of the DIHK, and in 2012 as an expert in the expert commission of the I-KiZ – Center for Child Protection on the Internet. Since 2014 he has been on the board of JusProg e. V., the association that offers the state-approved youth protection software JusProg. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Cologne Game Lab at the Cologne University of Technology and on the jury of the German Computer Game Award and the German Developer Award.
