Franziska Funken is a research associate at the Cologne Game Lab (Technische Hochschule Köln), specializing in game design and project management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Media Studies from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and a Master’s degree in Game Development and Research from Technische Hochschule Köln (Cologne Game Lab). At CGL, she contributes to projects such as The Migrants’ Chronicles: 1892, Antura, and the Games Technology Network. She also manages the MA 3D Animation for Film & Games program. Her academic and professional interests include serious games, digital education, and transdisciplinary collaboration within diverse teams.
