Olivier Haas is the program manager for the Master’s Program ‘3D Animation for Films & Games’. He’s also an experienced audio designer for games and has worked on titles such as ‘Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure’ (nominated for the Deutscher Entwicklerpreis) or CGL’s very own ‘Welten der Werkstoffe’ (won the Deutscher Computerspielpreis in the category ‘Serious Games’). For almost 5 years he was part of the game studio Massive Miniteam. As a game audio generalist, he covers everything from sound design to music composition and (interactive) audio systems.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology and Philosophy as well as a Master’s degree in Game Development & Research. In his research he is interested in game audio in general and, more specifically, topics such as ambient music in games, ambiences, mood creation as well as the space between sound and music.
