The 13th Clash of Realities has come to a close!
A big thank you goes out to all participants, speakers, organizers and our fantastic audience who made this last edition of the Clash of Realities conference such a great experience.
After the last keynote had ended, Gundolf S. Freyermuth and Björn Bartholdy took to the stage together with the founding member Martin Lorber who stated: “It’s a sad day today.” Together, they reminisced about old times and remembered the beginnings of the conference. While they expressed their mixed and bittersweet feelings, they also looked at the bright side: “This was the best conference ever!” said Freyermuth and Katharina Tillmanns added “Every end has new beginnings”! So, we close this chapter with a heavy heart but also anticipating new ideas and projects at the end of the horizon.
THANK YOU ALL for your contributions and support over the past years! A special thanks goes out to TH Köln, University of Cologne, ifs internationale filmschule köln, EA, Film und Medien Stiftung NRW, City of Cologne, Generalkonsulat der Niederlande.

Following the opening keynote by game designer and NYU professor Eric Zimmerman, graduates of CGL’s bachelor’s and master’s programs were honored with a graduation talk by Nathalie Pozzi and Eric Zimmerman.
