Broken Paternoster Games is an independent publishing collective founded and run by students at Cologne Game Lab. The goal is simple: to make it easier for student developers to bring their games to a wider audience and gain practical experience in the process.
Publishing a game often involves complex workflows, from quality assurance and marketing to distribution and paperwork. Broken Paternoster Games supports CGL students throughout this process, offering peer-to-peer guidance, access to valuable contacts, and a platform to showcase and release their projects.
To date, the collective has published and exhibited over 20 games created by students from various CGL programs at 13 Events like Dokomi, Indie Game Fest and Gamescom. By lowering the barriers to entry, Broken Paternoster Games helps young developers gain visibility and build a foundation for their future careers in the games industry.
