On Tuesday, 23 April, Prof. Dr Slyvia Heuchemer took up her new office as President of TH Köln. At the end of November, the long-standing Vice President for Teaching and Studies was elected as the new President by an overwhelming majority at the University Election Assembly.

Prof. Dr Sylvia Heuchemer studied economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität and completed her doctorate in 2003 at the Institute for General Economic Research and Econometrics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg on the subject of “The international business cycle – an empirical analysis for the OECD countries”. In 2003, she was appointed Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Law at our university. Since 2009, she has been full-time Vice President for Teaching and Studies at TH Köln.
