The owner of a balcony plant reads fake news about plants on the internet at night — and mistreats the plant accordingly. Seeking revenge, the plant decides to destroy the source of all evil: the computer!

“Flowie”, the flowerpot monster, is the star of a cartoony yet thought-provoking 3D animated short on fake news. Its peafecul life on a city balcony is interrupted when a mysterious parcel arrives–a computer! The device leads Flowie’s owner to “The Roots of Truth”, a website filled with advice on plant treatment. After enduring extreme care – ranging from overwatering to drought – Flowie decides to confront the source of its suffering head-on. David Seul and Kishore Srinivasan captured Flowie’s battle against misinformation as their final project in the M.A. 3D Animation for Film & Games, the cooperative study program of ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln and Cologne Game Lab of TH Köln.
