Dr. Damian Gałuszka is a sociologist specializing in the study of socio-technological phenomena, with a particular focus on digital solutions such as video games, virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and automation. He is a graduate of the AGH University of Krakow, Jagiellonian University, and the Collegium Invisibile association. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Humanities at AGH and collaborates with the EduVRLab Laboratory (www.eduvrlab.agh.edu.pl/index-en.html).

Dr. Gałuszka is an active participant in numerous scientific conferences, both national and international. He is the author of dozens of scientific publications, including pioneering monographs such as “Video Games in the Family Environment…” and “Virtual Autumn of Life…”, which are available for free at www.grywrodzinie.pl. His achievements have been recognized by the Polish Minister of Higher Education and the Polish Sociological Association.

He regularly collaborates with commercial entities and non-governmental organizations, assisting in the preparation and implementation of research and reports, as well as delivering lectures and conducting workshops related to his research topics.

Since childhood, he has been passionate about games, especially digital ones, and strives to combine his experiences as a gamer with a scientific, especially sociological perspective. He also utilizes video games in educational practice during his courses at AGH or numerous workshops.
