Lecture Series on Research Perspectives in Cultural Studies
The “Ringvorlesung” is an annual series of lectures that explores the thematic field of research in cultural studies, in particular using the example of doctoral studies being developed at the faculty.
The aim is to identify peculiarities and broader points of contact of doctoral studies at the TH Köln with regard to aspects such as interdisciplinarity, internationality, funding and research concepts. To this end, doctoral candidates and professors as well as external scientists will present their projects and shed light on them with regard to the above-mentioned aspects. The lecture series is a project of the institutes CGL, CICS and KISD and is planned as a prelude for the introduction of further joint research formats.
It is open to the public and free of charge. Following each evening there will be the opportunity for exchange over drinks and snacks. The lectures will be held on mondays at 6.00 pm from October 17 to December 5, 2022. The venue is room 11, TH Köln, KISD / CICS, Ubierring 40, 50678 Cologne, Germany.
