Strong women – strong economy
In order for women to develop their entrepreneurial potential more strongly in the media industry and to increasingly implement their visions in their own ventures, the Mediengründerzentrum NRW has launched the three-month empowerment program “Sheroes.
Seminars, coaching, mentoring, networking
By the end of November, ten participants from the fields of film, TV, web video and social media social media will undergo a comprehensive training program. As part of a nine-part seminar series, they will expand their knowledge on key topics such as business planning, leadership and self-marketing.
Experts with a high level of practical experience are on hand to help. In addition, there is individual coaching sessions and support from experienced mentors from the media industry. As in all programs of the Mediengründerzentrum NRW, networking is a top priority, i.e. the provision of contacts and connections to exciting industry players, cooperation partners and platforms.
“Women are significantly underrepresented in start-ups in the media sector. That We also notice this when we receive applications for our annual startup scholarship, and we want to change something. After all, more female founders bring even more dynamism, creativity and innovation to the industry. This benefits the entire media location NRW,” says Rainer Weiland, Managing Director of the Mediengründerzentrum NRW.
