Lecture Series on Research Perspectives in Cultural Studies

Lecture Series 2022/23 – videos out now!

During the winter term of 2022/23, the lecture series of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, also called “Ringvorlesung”, explored research perspectives in cultural studies, in particular using the example of doctoral studies being developed at the faculty.

The aim was to identify peculiarities and broader points of contact of doctoral studies at the TH Köln with regard to aspects such as interdisciplinarity, internationality, funding and research concepts. To this end, doctoral candidates and professors as well as external scientists presented their projects and shed light on them with regard to the above-mentioned aspects. The lecture series is an ongoing project of the institutes CGL, CICS and KISD and is conceptualized as a prelude for further joint research formats.
