At the heart of the Humanitarian Game Network (project page) initiative is a monthly webinar series, which will bring you face-to-face with the minds behind influential humanitarian games. Each month, it will feature a different developer, delving into their creative process, the purpose behind their games, and the tangible impact they’re striving to make. From social issues to environmental advocacy, these developers are creating games aimed at driving humanitarian impact. The goal is to make the valuable knowledge of these visionary game developers more accessible. Join in for the Second Edition Humanitarian Game Network Webinar, which will explore the intersection of game design and humanitarian impact. Next guest is Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Guardiola.

Prof. Dr Emmanuel Guardiola is a Professor of Game Design at Cologne Game Lab, and the founder of the HGN. In game design research, he focuses on the way that gameplay experiences can have an impact on education, health, psychology, or humanitarian causes. He will be showcasing the game Antura and the Letters, which aims to aid children that have no access to education due to the conflicts they are surrounded by. It has received numerous international awards in the field of education and humanitarianism.

The webinars are designed to be interactive. At the end of each session, the audience have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and join in discussions with developers.
