Squirrel & Bär is a 2D adventure game for kids between 3-9 years and their parents to learn English as a foreign language for iOS and Android.

The player joins Squirrel & Bär on a journey to save the bees, seeking for a magic flower. Starting in the forest, the player has 22 levels ahead of him, letting him pass through 5 different worlds, meeting various animals. At the end, he will face the lynx and he has to speak English, as that is the only language the lynx understands.

After the graduation fro CGL Linda and Marcus founded “the Good Evil GmbH”.

Since 2013 “the Good Evil GmbH” is developing Serious Games, Newsgames, Transmedia projects and other game-y things e.g. Lindas Master project SQUIRREL&BÄR. As game studio Linda and Marcus received several fundings and awards, e.g. from the “AV-Gründerzentrum NRW”, the “Film- und Medienstiftung NRW”, the German Federal Ministry – of Economics and Technology, of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Woman and Youth and of Education and Research.

SQUIRREL&BÄR was nominated for “Best Student Concept” at the “Deutscher Computerspielepreis” in 2012 and received prototype funding “Film- und Medienstiftung NRW”. The game has been released on IOS in 2014.

Prizes: German Game Developers Award 2014 for “Best Kids Game”, the German Children’s Software Prize TOMMI as “Best Game for Pre-School and Kindergarden” (Deutscher Kindersoftwarepreis TOMMI 2014), Pädagogischer Interaktiv-Preis PÄDI 2014 “Best Apps for Kids”, GIGA-Maus 2014 for “Best Foreign Language Learning App”.
